Sorry about the lousy photos, it is the best I could do while on the move.
My best guess is MR2, but I'm pretty sure it is wrong. Someone put a lot of time and effort in for such a shitty looking result. I'm not even sure what model it is supposed to be copying.

Looks front engined to me. I'm thinking Supra.

First thought is a 3000GT/Stealth, but I could be wrong.

My guess is a Prelude

Most likely a 3rd generation FBody.
The window shape is dead on and the rear hatch area matches the hatch glass shape as well, as do the overall proportions of the car (front and rear overhangs, etc).

bend in the A pillar is wrong...

This looks vaguely Corrado-ish. Though.....
Nah, couldn't be...

You could be right, but something about the rear hatch doesn't look quite right. It also didn't seem like it was rattling itself to pieces sitting at the light, like most camaros of that generation.

that's the thing- I feel like whatever it was, it was far more interesting and valuable before he ruined it. Sad, really.

god, i hope not.

i feel like it was bigger than that, but it may have just been the horrible body kit playing tricks on me.

Hopefully I didn't just get Kinja'd because I replied a minute ago and don't see it anywhere after multiple page reloads...
Anyways, here it is again just in case:
3rd generation FBody. The window size and shape is dead on, as is the shape of the hatch. Also, the overall proportions match rather well (front and rear overhangs, etc).

An Early 2000s Eclipse? The headlights look similar, but it could just be a rolling abortion of parts.

Pillars look like Fiero GT. Doors kind of look like 3rd gen camaro or firebird too.

The rear hatch looks off because they have bodywork placed on the glass on that kitcar, instead of all glass as stock.

you didn't get kinja'd, but my reply might have. I feel like the area from the end of the hatch to the end of the car is somehow wrong, but I could be wrong about that.

"rolling abortion of parts"
Great name for a metal band.

i see what you mean. If you are right, he either started with the nicest 80's camaro in existence, or he spent enough money that he could have afforded a real ferrari.

Good idea in getting really really tinted windows. Hide the shame.

i'm pretty sure they are illegally dark in this state.

The South.

Camaro side glass is one piece. The BS Ferarri is two piece.

It's painted. A fake window, like the P1 has.

No, the greenhouse on the 3000GT is more round and "bubble-y", and the top of the window is arched, not flat.

That was my guess as well.

I'm thinking there's a Ford Probe hiding under all that plastic
